ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Anna Masser acts as lead counsel in international commercial arbitrations, in particular in the energy, plant engineering and renewable energies sectors. She also advises on disputes under long-term contracts in general. She has experience of conducting arbitrations under a wide range of rules including those of the ICC, SCAI, DIS, LCIA, SCC, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations also under UNCITRAL rules. She was qualified in Switzerland until 2016 and advises on German and Swiss law issues. She equally deals with issues relating to the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and judgments and is regularly appointed as arbitrator. Anna is a CEDR Accredited Mediator. Anna has been recognised by Who’s Who Legal as a Future Leader from 2017 to 2020, as “one of Europe’s top names”, and as an “efficient and pragmatic lawyer who is great to work with”. Additionally, she is praised as “very analytic” with “excellent strategy skills”. Since 2021, Who’s Who Legal ranks her as global leader in arbitration and she is also ranked by Chambers for her specific experience in Switzerland. Legal 500 Germany mentions her as a key contact. She serves as a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. Anna is a member of DIS, ASA and VIAC, an immediate past Global Advisory Board Member of ICDR Y&I and has led the German DIS 40 group for three years.

Efosa Osaruemen Ewere is a Chartered Secretary, Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She is a Partner with Gravida Attorneys a Law Firm in Nigeria which has a bias for dispute resolution. Trained as a Lawyer, Mediator, and Arbitrator she adopts an innovative approach, engages actively and regularly advises clients on the best dispute resolution mechanism to adopt on legal issues. She is a Notary Public, a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (Nigeria Branch), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria. She has acted as Counsel in Mediation Proceedings and Ad hoc Domestic Arbitration in Nigeria. She participates as Arbitrator at the Willems C Vis Moot Arbitration held annually in Vienna.

Olga Sendetska advises clients in commercial and investment arbitration. She also has experience dealing with matters related to complex cross-border disputes including mass proceedings as well as arbitration-related litigation. Olga joined Freshfields in 2015 and during her time with the firm has worked in the firm’s Frankfurt, London, and Dubai offices. Olga has experience advising in disputes under the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, VIAC, UNCITRAL, and CAS rules and has worked with German, CEE, CIS, Middle Eastern and international clients from various sectors including pharma, energy, finance, banking, aerospace, professional services, construction, and sports. Olga teaches English law at the Goethe University Frankfurt, is an Assistant Editor for Europe with the Kluwer Arbitration Blog, a co-founder of ARBinBRIEF and a Young ArbitralWomen Practitioners (YAWP) Steering Committee Member.
