Dr. Ammar Younas, FCIArb, FHEA, is a legal scholar, philosopher, and entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of law, emerging technologies, and philosophy. His expertise spans Technology Law, AI Governance, Web3, and the Philosophy of Science and Technology, with a focus on the ethical, legal, and societal implications of digital transformation.Dr. Ammar began his academic journey as a medical doctor (Doctor of Medicine) and went on to earn seven academic degrees in diverse disciplines: Medicine, Finance, Political Marketing (Rome Business School, Italy), International Relations (American University of Central Asia – Bard College, New York), Jurisprudence, Human Rights (University of Saint Joseph, Beirut, Lebanon), and Chinese Law. He earned his Master of Law at Tsinghua University (China's No. 1 and among the global top 10 universities) as a Chinese Government Scholar and valedictorian, and completed his doctoral research at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on cross-cultural AI ethics and governance. To the best of his knowledge, he is the youngest Pakistani practitioner to achieve Fellowship through the Experienced Practitioner Route and the first law graduate from Kyrgyzstan to receive this honour.A licensed lawyer in four jurisdictions and a member of numerous international arbitration panels, Dr. Ammar provides advisory and consulting services to governments, international organizations, and businesses on emerging technology law and policy. Notably, he contributed to China's first AI Governance Index (AGILE Index) as a researcher at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences; contributed to the drafting of Uzbekistan's new Civil Code as an international expert for the Ministry of Justice; and served as a freelance staff member of the Pakistan Delegation to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. An authority on comparative law, Dr. Ammar combines expertise in Civil Law, Common Law, and Indigenous legal systems — a rare interdisciplinary perspective that informs his research, teaching, and advisory work. He has taught and developed legal education programs globally, integrating digital transformation, technology law, and human rights into interdisciplinary curricula, and has founded several initiatives, including a law firm, consulting practice, and research centers dedicated to advancing ethical and culturally grounded governance of emerging technologies.A prolific author and speaker with over 100 publications on the philosophy of technology, AI ethics, digital sovereignty, and emerging technologies, Dr. Ammar is fluent in six languages and brings a unique cross-cultural and comparative perspective to his teaching, research, and advocacy—bridging innovation, law, and societal values worldwide.
