I have extensive experience of both institutional and ad hoc arbitrations, in a multitude of sectors, having represented clients in more than 14 arbitrations to date. On the investor-state arbitration side, I have extensive public international law experience, and have acted for clients under both the UNCITRAL and ICSID Rules. My work has involved a variety of bilateral treaties, including the OIC Agreement. I have also managed a number of commercial arbtirations (as well as arbitration-related judicial proceedings before the English and French courts), including under the LCIA and ICC Rules. More generally, I have recent experience of sanctions-related contractual disputes, as well as disputes in the pharmaceutical, telecoms, insurance and energy sectors. Being a trilingual speaker (Arabic, French and English), with a professional knowledge of Spanish, I have worked on a variety of cases in different regions of the world (particularly the MENA region), and have worked on cases from London, Paris and New York.
