A trilingual Spanish and French independent arbitrator, dual-qualified lawyer and linguist-lawyer. She is admitted to both the Madrid Bar and the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales. Apart from her two native languages, Spanish and French, she masters English and uses the three languages daily. She has an unwavering curiosity to learn and continues to hone her Italian, Portuguese, German, and Chinese. One of her dreams is to speak all the working languages of the United Nations.
She has a multilingual and transnational academic background. She has worked in four jurisdictions and has expertise in both civil and common law. She has cross-border practice and over 15 years of experience in international commercial arbitration, cross-border litigation, international contract law, corporate matters, international trade, and legal translation. She focuses on technology, intellectual property, logistics, transport, construction, maritime, and EU law.
She is the Liaison Officer for Europe of the ANKAWA International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Center and a representative of JIGGSLAW at the annual Translating Europe Forum organised by the European Commission. She is on the Latin American Arbitration and Mediation Center (LatCam) List for the term 2024-2026. She collaborates as a section editor of an online arbitration magazine focusing on Ibero-American arbitration news.
Since 2012, she has volunteered as an arbitrator and reviewed the memoranda of different arbitration competitions. She coaches teams and promotes languages and arbitration. She curates an arbitration event calendar, delivers presentations, and creates projects in different languages. The Translation Inter-Ministerial Committee of the French Finance Ministry invited her to speak in French about the value of legal translation.
