Marc is a leading independent arbitrator with over 30 years of experience in high-value and complex commercial disputes, particularly relating to life sciences, chemistry, medical devices technology, telecommunications, intellectual property and patents. Prior to sitting as arbitrator, Marc practiced as counsel in patent litigation for over 30 years, meaning he has particular experience in disputes involving patents, misappropriation of trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights. Marc has sat as arbitrator and counsel under a broad range of arbitral rules including; ICC, UNCITRAL, HKIAC, FAA, and AdHoc. These disputes have related to a wide array of contract types including, inter alia, OEM agreements, EPC contracts, industrial construction contracts, distribution agreements, license agreements, joint development agreements, and research agreements. These have been seated in a variety of jurisdictions including, but not limited to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and New York. He has experience in arbitration conducted under common law and civil law regimens.
